Free Christmas I spy printable

I spy keeps little ones busy while the grown-ups wrap presents or cook. Each page is full of Christmas pictures: trees, snowmen, reindeer, candy canes. At the bottom are five pictures to look for. Children find each one, count how many there are and write the number in the box. The free download has two I spy pages, a small memory game and the answers. No email needed, just print.

The pictures are drawn by us, not with AI. Print as many copies as you need for your own children or class.

How to play

1. Print one page per child and hand out crayons.
2. Find one picture at a time and color each one you find, so you do not count it twice.
3. Count, then write the number in the box under the picture.

For a class, turn it into a race: the first table to fill all five boxes calls out "I spy!".

For toddlers and preschoolers

Children of 2 to 3 can just find and point. Name a picture, let them hunt, and count together out loud while they touch each one. Children who cannot write numbers yet can put that many dots in the box, or say the number while you write it. Every count on these pages is 5 or less.

Christmas memory game

Page 3 of the download has 12 cards, 6 pairs. Cut them out, mix them and lay them face down. Players turn over two cards at a time; a pair stays with the player, two different cards go back face down. With 6 pairs a game takes about five minutes, short enough for a 3-year-old.
